With version 1.16.2, users can take advantage of several new features in the Impose Editor, the management of Die Cuts, the processing of Production Jobs, Data Preparation, Preflight, and managing print data. Furthermore, advanced translations have been carried out.

Die Cuts: Since version 1.16.0, beta customers have been able for the first time to manage One-Ups and N-Ups. Thereby, users were enabled to use the One-Up for data preparation and finally impose a Die Cut (N-Up) with the appropriate Print Items. In version 1.16.2, the range of functions has been significantly expanded. Thereby, the management and use of Die Cuts for folding carton production can be fully mapped.

With version 1.16.1, users can take advantage of several features in the environment of Impositions, management of Die Cuts and processing of Orders. In addition, improvements have been made to Data Preparation, Preflight and Print Data management, as well as further translations have been made.

VDP Editor: New tools for variable images – From this version onwards, it's possible to mask variable images for their output. Variable images can thus be created and processed in various forms. New tools are available for this purpose.

Die Cut: Since version 1.16.0, beta customers have had the possibility to manage One-Ups and N-Ups for the first time. This function enables the use of One-Ups for data preparation and eventually to impose a Die Cut (N-Up) with matching Print Items. The functionality has been adapted and expanded in version 1.16.1 based on first feedback.

Tiling Assembly Instruction: As of this version, a new function for creating Tiling Assembly Instructions i.e. Reports is available. This report can be generated as a multi-page PDF in A4 and US letter format. The report provides an overview page for the assembly of the Tiles and a detail page for each Tile.

Convert "White" to 0/0/0/0 – Improvement: The option "Convert White to 0/0/0/0" was implemented in the General Settings in version 1.15.0. This option has been extended in this version. From now on, the activated option is only carried out when the Color Policy has been profiled with White. Previously, the function was also executed when the selected printer had a White channel, but did not necessarily use it.

Impose Editor: Existing functions in the Impose Editor have been extended and improved with version 1.16.0. These include improvements in the Imposition modes "Nesting" and "Step & Repeat". In addition, a further variable for captions and the possibility to create an Impose Report has been added.

With version 1.15.1, users can take advantage of several innovations in the environment of Impositions, Cutting Devices, and general changes in the setup of Workflow. In addition, improvements have been made to Data Preparation, Data Check, and the Management of Print Data, as well as more advanced translations.

Impose Editor: Double-sided Nesting – As of this version, users can have the backside side output identically to the front side during Double-sided Nesting. This means that the design on the backside can be output in the same position as the front side. In addition, the possibility was created to use one Print Item for all Print Items of the frontside on the backside.

Impose Editor: Step & Repeat – In this version, the possibilities introduced in 1.15.0 have been extended or functionally adapted in Step & Repeat. On the one hand, Print Items with different side lengths are automatically rotated with regard to the optimization of Substrate consumption. Starting from this version, the aggregated information about all cut files is displayed in a separate column. "White" Handling on different Output Devices: Starting from this version, a new system setting "Convert White to 0/0/0" is available. If this option is activated, then "White" Spot Colors, which are normally output as a separate White Separation, are converted to CMYK 0/0/0/0 when they are transferred to the printer. However, this is only applied if the printer used does not have white ink.

Installing an update for versions higher than 1.14.0 Workflow versions 1.14.1, 1.14.2, and 1.15.0 and all future versions can only be installed if Workflow version 1.14.0 was installed before. Thus, an update from an earlier version e.g.: 1.11.x, 1.12.x as well as 1.13.x cannot be performed! The reason for this was internal improvements in the migration logic introduced in version 1.14.0. This method corrects inaccurate measurements and modifies measurement data that have abnormal peculiarities, such as inks lighter than the white point. Therefore, theoretically, eight additional Color Setups: CMYK–OV, CMYK–OG, CMYK–VG, CMYK–O, CMYK–V, CMYK–G, CMYK and/or K, can be generated automatically from a single CMYK–OVG Color Setup. Render Satellites – Render Satellites (ZuniComm) serve the purpose of distributing and/or optimizing the rip process (rendering as well as rasterizing as a separate unit) by harnessing available computer resources. Render Satellites are also used to control Measurement Devices, Printers or Proofers from an external location in the future in order to distribute the production effort using the available resources. A Render Satellite is a dedicated installation of an application (ZuniComm) on a computer system or on a virtual machine.

Third–party Printers – Third–party Printers can be managed or used in the Workflow from this version on. For this purpose, the Third–party Printer Interface must be configured for the printer directly in the Workflow. As of this version, the user can set up a third–party printer so that the printer can be used in the Workflow in the same way as printers are normally controlled directly by the Workflow.

Hosts and Shares: Hosts and Shares that are created in the Workflow must now be assigned to a "type" as of this release. Each Host in the Workflow requires a special, predefined "type", so that this type can then be offered for selection only where it is relevant. Previously existing Hosts within the Workflow will be migrated after updating to the latest version and the "type" will be assigned automatically.
